POSITIONOVERVIEW: The Business Development Coordinator provides administrative and organizational support to the Business Development team to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining Pipedrive CRM, coordinating and preparing documents and reports, and assisting with client follow-up and tracking. The Coordinator helps streamline processes, manage client data, and support the team in advancing new opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Support

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the     Business Development team, including preparing agreements and proposals     and developing internal project initiation documents.
  • Maintain and update departmental files,     templates, and shared resources.
  • Track and follow up on action items, ensuring     deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Coordinating with Operations and Finance to     ensure a seamless handoff from the Business Development department.

Pipedrive CRM Management

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Pipedrive,     ensuring data accuracy and consistency across all records.
  • Enter, track, and manage leads, contacts,     opportunities, and deal stages in Pipedrive.
  • Support staff with CRM best practices,     troubleshooting, and process improvements.
  • Monitor progress through the sales pipeline to ensure     adherence to accountability and expectations from Business Development     staff.

Client and Proposal Support

  • Assist with proposal preparation, formatting,     proofreading, and submission.
  • Coordinate proposal timelines and ensure required     inputs are collected from internal contributors.
  • Support the development of presentations,     promotional materials, and follow-up communications.
  • Maintain organized records of proposals,     contracts, and related correspondence.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Liaise with Finance, Operations, Marketing, and HR to ensure business development efforts are coordinated across the organization.
  • Support event coordination, including tradeshows, conferences, and internal business development initiatives.

Other Duties

  • Conduct basic market or client research to support business development planning.
  • Provide assistance with registration for Morris Interactives public courses if necessary
  • Answering incoming calls to Morris Interactives landline
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Director of Business Development as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of BD administrative processes and CRM practices.
  • Ensuring a clean and well prepared office environment for in-person client facing meetings.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

 

TECHNICALCOMPETENCIES:

·        Strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail

·        Excellent written and verbal communication

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams

·        Understanding AI and how to leverage this tool for time management and job efficiency

·        Strong working knowledge of CRM platforms, preferably Pipedrive

·        Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

·        Effective interpersonal and customer service skills

·        Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

·        Knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook, Teams, CoPilot)

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Degree or diploma in business administration or related field 

·        3-5 years of experience in business administration or business support roles

·        Experience managing CRM tools (Pipedrive experience preferred)

·        Knowledge and experience working with Indigenous organizations or communities
