
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director, Client Services is responsible for overseeing and supporting the successful delivery of client projects by leading senior consultants and project teams, supporting operational processes, and ensuring consistent execution across consulting, learning services delivery, and operational functions.
This role focuses on project oversight, people leadership, operational efficiency in client project work, and cross-functional collaboration to support organizational goals and client satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project and Operational Leadership
Lead and manage project operations across client engagements, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and to quality standards.
Oversee project management practices that strengthen client and customer relationships.
Work with cross-functional teams to support successful project operations and solution deployments.
Maintain a working knowledge of all phases of operations, including Consulting, Learning and Development sessions, and organizational operational activities.
People Leadership and Coaching
Manage and lead senior consultants, senior-level individual contributors, and project coordination teams.
Coach and support consultants across multiple projects to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Assist with recruitment and onboarding of consulting talent as needed.
Serve as a leader to both direct reports and project-based team members.
Provide people management support and HR-related assistance when required, including accountability strategies for external consultants and contractors.
Operational Analysis and Continuous Improvement
Analyze company and project data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational improvement.
Monitor operational and project performance to proactively identify efficiencies and propose solutions that improve quality, productivity, cost management, and control measures.
Implement and maintain project portfolio management tools to support cross-functional collaboration, centralized information storage, and reporting.
Reporting and Communication
Provide regular and structured performance updates related to project operations and team performance to senior leadership.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between operational execution and organizational priorities.
Business Development and Client Engagement
Support business development efforts through operational insights and project support.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with key clients to support open communication and ongoing business development activities.
Communicate and maintain a Contractor Engagement strategy that aligns with organizational strategic priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and practical experience).
Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in project-based or professional services environments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
