The Microsoft Excel Instructor is responsible for delivering engaging, practical, and skills-focused training on Microsoft Excel to adult learners with varying levels of experience.

This role supports individuals, organizations, and teams in building confidence and capability in Excel through structured instruction, hands-on exercises, and real-world applications.

The instructor will facilitate learning in a supportive and inclusive environment, ensuring participants leave with practical tools they can immediately apply in their work.

Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery

  • Deliver Microsoft Excel training sessions to individuals and groups at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
  • Facilitate engaging workshops using adult learning principles and interactive teaching methods.
  • Provide step-by-step instruction on Excel functions, formulas, and data tools.
  • Demonstrate practical applications of Excel in business and organizational contexts.

Learner Support

  • Provide hands-on support and coaching to participants during training sessions.
  • Answer technical questions and troubleshoot common Excel challenges.
  • Offer guidance on best practices for organizing, analyzing, and presenting data.

Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

  • Gather participant feedback and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Update training materials based on feedback and software updates.
  • Stay current with new Microsoft Excel features and training techniques.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience delivering training or facilitating adult learning
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using Excel in business environments such as finance, HR, operations, or data analysis
  • Experience delivering in-person or virtual workshops is considered an asset
