Canva Foundations is a hands-on, beginner-friendly training course designed to help you confidently create professional-quality graphics for your organization or community. Whether you are managing social media, designing event flyers, creating internal communications, or building digital assets “off the side of your desk,” this course gives you the practical skills and design confidence you need.
From setting up your Canva account to applying core design principles, you’ll learn how to create polished visuals efficiently — without relying on trial and error. By the end of the day, every participant will complete a practical project they can immediately use in their workplace.
This foundational Canva training is ideal for beginners who want structured guidance, time to practice, and clear design direction.

Note: We encourage all participants to bring their own laptop for the Canva Foundations course so you can work directly within your Canva account during the hands-on exercises. If you do not have access to a laptop, please contact us in advance and we will gladly arrange one for you.

Yes. Lunch is included with your registration.
Do we have to pay for parking?
No, the Morris Interactive Learning Centre (inside the Supreme Steel building) has free parking.
Do I need to bring a laptop?
Yes, we encourage you to bring your own laptop so you can practice in your own Canva account throughout the session. If you do not have one available, please let us know ahead of time and we can arrange a laptop for you.
If I don’t attend, will I get a refund?
To offer a more streamlined experience for all participants, we do not offer refunds.
Can I bring a friend or colleague with me?
Of course! As long as they have been registered at least 2 weeks prior and paid for their seat. (Unless the workshop is at capacity).
Can I pay for my seat after attending the training?
Sorry, your seat is only confirmed once payment has been received.
Can I pay by cheque or invoice?
To offer a more streamlined experience, as of April 1, 2025, we are only accepting credit card payments for our conferences. Contact us for more information.
Is the Morris Interactive Learning Centre wheelchair accessible?
