This workshop teaches participants how to help someone experiencing a mental health crisis. This in-person workshop sparks the courage to have open and honest conversations about mental health with family, friends, and others. Designed for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous participants working with or within First Nations communities, it features interactive discussions and group activities. The session is facilitated by certified Mental Health First Aid instructors Tanya Madden and Kit Rediron, who bring experience working with vulnerable community members of Saskatoon.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Participants will receive a Mental Health First Aid - First Nations certificate upon completion from the Mental Health Commission of Canada.

Do we have to pay for parking?
No, the Morris Interactive Learning Centre has free parking.
What do I need to bring?
Yourself! All materials will be provided.
If I don’t attend, will I get a refund?
If no notice is given, we cannot process refunds. With at least two weeks of notice, we will transfer your seat and fee to a future MHFA First Nations session or another session of the same value.
Can I bring a friend or colleague with me?
Of course! As long as they have been registered at least 1 week prior and paid for their seat (unless the workshop is at capacity).
Can I pay for my seat after attending the training?
Sorry, your seat is only confirmed once payment has been received.
Can I pay by cheque or invoice?
