In response to continued demand, and two previous sold out conferences - our Prevention Conference: Building Brighter Futures will be offered in two back-to-back 2-day sessions. Both sessions will cover the same material and provide the same learning experience. Please select the dates that best align with your schedule.

This conference will feature presentations from consultants with long-standing experience in implementing and leading prevention and child and family services and programs in First Nations communities. These initiatives will be child-centered, family-focused, community-driven, and Nation-based
Establishing and implementing a multi-service prevention model to address complex social issues and respond to families’ needs is challenging but vital work - this conference will support your community in carrying it out.
Children are our future, and the ultimate goal is to create quality, culturally safe family environments that enable them to reach their full potential, thereby strengthening Nations and enhancing the well-being of all. Regardless of the stage or development phase of the communities, this conference will address your needs.

Child and family service workers, community leaders, program managers, including post majority care workers and First Nations representative service workers/liaisons and anyone passionate about prevention strategies for First Nations communities.

No, the Delta Hotels Edmonton South Conference Centre has free parking.
What do I need to bring?
Yourself! All materials will be provided.
Can someone else attend on my behalf?
Yes, but we will require 2 weeks notice for this. Please email kit@morrisinteractive.ca to inquire.
Can I attend one day and have someone else attend the second?
Sorry, your seat and materials are for one participant only.
If I don’t attend, will I get a refund?
To offer a more streamlined experience for all participants, we do not offer refunds.
Can I bring a friend or colleague with me?
Of course! As long as they have been registered at least 2weeks prior and paid for their seat. (Unless the conference is at capacity).
Can I pay for my seat after attending the conference?
Sorry, your seat is only confirmed once payment has been received.
Can I pay by cheque or invoice?
To offer a more streamlined experience, as of April 1, 2025,we are only accepting credit card payments for our conferences.
