This conference will feature presentations from consultants with long standing experience in implementing and leading prevention and child and family services in First Nations communities. Part Two focuses on sustaining long term impact across generations. All content is child centered, family focused, community driven, and Nation based.

Directors and managers will explore recruiting and retaining the right staff, performance management best practices, and the roles and responsibilities of First Nations Representative Services.

Frontline staff will build skills in facilitating parenting groups, understanding trauma and the brain, and applying suicide prevention strategies.

All attendees will take part in workshops on navigating workplan cycles and program evaluation for continuous improvement, and caring for the caregiver with strategies for wellness and resilience.

Establishing and implementing a multi service prevention model to address complex social issues and respond to families needs is challenging and vital work. This conference will support your community to strengthen what you have built and sustain results over time.

Children are our future. Our shared goal is to create quality, culturally safe family environments that help them reach their full potential and strengthen Nations and the well being of all. No matter your stage of development, this conference will meet your needs with practical tools you can put to work.

Who Should Attend?
